Celebrating Victory Day in the High Town

Celebrating Victory Day in the High Town

Add to favorites
May 9 is an important holiday in Belarus. We celebrate Victory Day (Victory in Europe Day). Unlike in Western countries, this date is written on the hearts of Belarusian people, which lost every thirst citizen in the merciless was.
We can debate who was more blood thirsty, who was fighting for freedom and better life for mankind, who for power and resources, but the facts remains: there is not single family on this land, who hadn't lost a member; four years of living in horror and deprivation, concentration camps, bombing, shelling and executions - all these cannot be wiped from the history of our people. This is why Victory Day, the end of the bloodiest war, is and will remain a holiday with the salt from tears on our lips.
ICAN Club will have an outdoor free session in the High Town. We will meet at 1 pm near the City Hall and will go photo-hunting and enjoying the public festivities. Please, sign up if you wish to join and/or call +375 29 2592164 to find us if you are coming later.
