We are learning English in order to be able to communicate with foreigners. But to communicate with English-speaking people, it is not enough to know the English language - one should also know their history, culture, traditions, mentality and so on. Are you well prepared for intercultural communication in English? Come to ICAN, English Speaking Club, on July 31 and show what you know!
Trivia night is a team quiz. To win, you will need to answer 30 questions about English-speaking countries in five categories:
1) geography and places of interest
2) history, traditions and modern life
3) celebrities and their role (politicians, writers, artists, musicians, athletes, inventors, etc.)
4) idioms and English equivalents of spoken expressions
5) the exact names of some objects.
Do some research, collect information and come! This will be an excellent addition to English language courses or classes with your tutor.
A nice prize will be waiting for its winners!
