I've attended ICAN Club for over a year and it has fulfilled my dream of surrounding myself with smart, educated and inspiring people in an English speaking environment. Thanks to the efforts of Valentina, our organizer, the Club is like a family with people feeling comfortable to share the stories of their lives, especially at tea time with treats, finding support and advice. The Club's activities are always exciting and engaging, including meetings with native speakers and adventurous trips across the country and abroad. There's no better place in Minsk, Belarus, to speak English on a weekly basis on subjects that  personally matter to you.

For me, ICAN Club is a place where I always feel welcome, no matter how I reach it – physically or virtually. The Club is a community of people of all ages and walks of life who share their passion for learning English.

In the first place, ICAN is a speaking club where people have a chance to talk and be heard, where linguistic fluency and accuracy are both respected and presentation skills are gradually developed. However, ICAN Club is more than a speaking club. It is a place where English is used as a means not a goal, where people connect and build relationships and mutual projects.

I am proud for Valentina, my teacher colleague and friend, to see this community grow steadily.

The main idea of ICAN club is to create an opportunity for people to practice speaking and communicating in English.  It helps to overcome the barrier when English learners can understand everything, but have difficulties in speaking. It is not easy to start to speak English fluently. But if you practice it day by day, improvement will come.
The atmosphere in the Club is very friendly and warm. For me, it became not only the place where I practice English. I really enjoy our classes and relax after a working day. And there is no doubt that learning is more effective when people are relaxed and enjoying it. I`m happy that I discovered such a nice place to study and enjoy English at the same time.

I am the new member of the club. I have attended this club last week and understood how much I missed! It`s so interesting to speak in English, participate in different methods of teaching, practice your communicative skills, have fun and pleasure, new acquaintances.
