In our time of information overflow, it is crucial to be able to be noticed. Psychologists emphasize that visual elements that are informative and/or emotionally charged capture attention and stick in the memory faster than text.

On June 9, 2020, ICAN, Fabrizio Rivas Marmanillo, a famous comic book author and educator from Peru will run a solo-session ICAN English Speaking Club. We have already tried to communicate with Peru at our previous meeting - the quality of connection was excellent, the person is interesting and has diverse experience. Join us to learn how to use creativity and comics in education and more.
The meeting can be useful for English learners, teachers, and anyone who wants to make their activities more visible.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Fabricio Rivas Marmanillo is a Peruvian artist and educator. He has trained TEFL teachers in the usage of comics and graphic narrative to motivate learning through creativity in the classroom. Sponsored by the RELO office and the U.S. Embassy, he has given workshops at major universities and bi-lingual centers throughout Peru, and was also a guest presenter at the largest comic convention in the world, the San Diego Comic Con in the U.S.
