It was one of the most enjoyable solo-session. First, the experiences. Second, the photos. And last, but not least, the personality of the Hanna Karnei.
Here come some photos from the session.
Our charming presenter
Hanna Karney presents herself and the talk:
Hi there! I'm Hanna, 20, and I've recently come back from my gap year that I spent 10 000 km away from Belarus - in Ecuador!
Little did I know what I was getting myself into... But I came back safe and sound and ready to share my experience with you!
In my presentation I will be talking about things my life as a volunteer in a foreign country implied: living in a host family, working in pre-school with the most brilliant three- and four-year-olds I've ever met in my life, and occasionally teaching in school. I’ll also be sharing tips to become proficient in a language in under a year (it's real but you gotta work for it) since I managed to learn Spanish in eight months virtually from scratch."
Here is the program, which created an opprtunity for Hanna and dozens of other school leaver to travel to other countries and to gain international experience.
Hanna gave us a few insights on education system in Ecuador, religion (her host family was full-on Catholic), and ethnic diversity. He presented her host family's wood shop of sublime religious sculpture!
And, of course, Hanna mentioned the fascinating cultural traditions, such as the carnival she had a chance to attend.
A traditional gift for our presenter:
And a photo to remember
We were impressed by Hanna's ability to choose and structure information and the fluency of her English and Spanish.
Hanna is gifted proactive personality. You might wish to follow her events her blog, where she was writing while in Ecuador and will continue sharing about her upcoming activities and trips. You can watch some videos. Buy the ways, Hanna is very skilled as a video maker - you will be impressed.
