Christmas and New Year are the favourite holidays of many of us. They are celebrated in many countries, and each one has specific traditions. However over the recent years we have seen a lot of borrowings from the English speaking countries, which cause the confusion of traditions and values. In the time of globalisation it is important to preserve the cultural identity and to be aware of the values celebrated. 

Let's learn the most popular songs in English, discover the meaning of Christmas ornaments, watch some films that show the creation of the contemporary image of Santa Claus, and compare this to the authentic Christmas traditions of our land.
