The Minsk Hero City Obelisk

The Minsk Hero City Obelisk is a 45 - meter tall monument. It was built in 1985. The sculptor of this monument is Valentin Zankovich. There are a star and a laurel branch at the peak. The area at the foot of the monument is used for celebrations, grand parades of military equipment, meetings of veterans, fireworks on Victory Day.
I live not far from the monument. When I walk near the obelisk I often see young skaterboardes who come for trains there. It is my favourite plaсe in Minsk.
