The  THE INTERNATIONAL SUMMER WRITING CONTEST is closed.
But ICAN Club will continue its encouragement program.

Young Learners will be awarded a Winner Sticker for each post which scores +500 points

But do not write for prizes. Prizes are just a game to keep you interested and feel appreciated. 

Writing for publication will dramatically improve your essays and will get you to the next level of real-life communication. Staying in top three longest will be randomly awarded by ICAN Club's prizes.

What is migration? It’s a process, when people leave their native country and start another life in another place. For example, a lot of young men and women want to live in the USA, in Canada or somewhere else.

But, why do people immigrate and emigrate? At first we need to know that immigration is a movement of people, when they come to some country. At second Emigration has the opposite meaning, it’s a movement of people, when they leave some country. And after that we can move to migrants’ brains. What are their thoughts, and What are the reasons to migrate…?

The most popular variant is when people do not really need to immigrate, but it’s their best choice. Their country can’t offer good provision for studying, working or they just want to change their life.

Also there is a variant of migration, when somebody is invited to work or study in another country. So you like living in your country but you are so good specialist, who can help in his/her field of activity.

And the third variant is forced migration. When you can’t stay in your country due to following reasons. For example, there is a war in the country and people have a choice to leave country or to die there. These people are called refugees. But people can run away not only from a war. Maybe the person is pursued by somebody and the person needs some kind of shelter, which he/she hopes to find abroad. Now people can migrate for an ecology reason. Their country isn’t longer suitable for leaving. For example, there was a disaster, which changed climate a lot, or destructions were so big, that the restoration would take a lot of time.

There were the reasons of migration. Sometimes it is good to change situation, sometimes it is not.

Dear Ksenia,
It is good to see that you challenged yourself to writing a something more abstract, socially important. The content is valued "3".
The text is well organized, we can see the structure.

As for the language, it is nearly accurate too. Play attention to these, please:
1. At first / First or First of all
AT FIRST is used to talk about the BEGINNING of a situation, especially when it is different now:
▪ At first, Gregory was shy and hardly spoke. Later he became more open.

FIRST means: before anything or anyone else (synonym last).
It is used in numbering:
First, we did this.
Second, we did that.
Finally, we finished and were happy.

2. Compare "pursue" and " persecute"; check "provision for studying; migrate for an ecology reason.

3. Remember:
such a beautiful day
but:
so beautiful

4. Mind the articles like in TO CHANGE SITUATION.

As for the multimedia elements, is the picture yours? If it is not yours, you should make sure it is in public domain or you need to have a written permission from the author to use t and give credit.

I can sum it up by saying that you have done a good job and scored a much higher point than before!
